Comparison of Landscapes
Each of these selected works captures the artist’s country without people. In the case of MacWeeney and Bravo, it seems like a never-ending landscape of open and untouched space. Doisneau and Winogrand give a moment that is more likely to change; the cow will continue to run across the road and the rain will eventually stop. All of these works are beautiful in composition and space. They are pure photographs of the land each artist comes from.
