Cape Kennedy, Florida 1969 (1)

There is a large group of people looking at the sky with binoculars, at what one can assume as a spaceflight that has just taken off. This photograph was taken in 1969, only a few years after the John F. Kennedy Space Center was opened. It gives a strong representation of the time it was taken and the curiosity of the public about the new innovations of technology. The people in the foreground are easiest to see, but one can see on the left and right sides of the wall, that there is a very large crowd of people there to watch the takeoff.
