Soda Pop!

Developed by a Yale professor in 1806, the refreshingly bubble beverage we now know as soda, pop, or coke (depending on where you’re from) has effectively transformed the beverage industry. Today, students, especially college students, are amongst pop’s biggest consumer. However, with growing obesity rates in the U.S., debate has ensued concerning the effects of soda on children’s health; a rather ironic twist considering that these sugary drinks were originally considered “therapeutic”.
