This view looks north along the porch/colonade east of the Smith house and terrace, as seen in 1905. The piers at each end, shingled, define the four corners, with four Tuscan columns on each side evenly spaced in between. The effect recalls English Arts & Crafts pergolas of H. M. Baillie Scott and others, with with a regional Prairie School tone. There is porch furniture scattered along the east-facing feature. Donated by Carol Blomquist, this was a gift to her by the late Daisiana Smith Giles of a Durand/Smith photo archive.
