"Routes to Mundelein and the Eucharistic Congress, June 1926" map

Title

"Routes to Mundelein and the Eucharistic Congress, June 1926" map

Description

This one-sheet 9" by 12" color half-tone map, folded into brochure size in thirds, of the Chicago North Shore area shows transportation lines converging on Mundelein, Illinois, and the St. Mary of the Lake Seminary there. The lead name among the publishers is the Chicago North Shore and Miwaukee Railroad Company (the North Shore Line) that had run a special track west to service this gathering of cardinals and the huge crowds it drew in Chicago and in Mundelein. The two versions of the verso of the map show respectively the top and bottom, the latter showing that the item was printed by Poole Bros., Inc., Chicago.  This item comes from the collection of Frank Sellers, Libertyville, IL, and was donated by Jan Lepak.
