This is the 122-page catalog for the University programs in Lake Forest, to be distinguished from the Lake Forest University programs in Chicago, a different series. These programs in Lake Forest included two preparatory schools, Ferry Hall for young women (since 1869) and Lake Forest Academy for young men (since 1858). The College (1859-63 for men; relaunched 1876 as coed). This is a revised edition of the 1939-1940 catalogues that were printed in 1939. This was printed in March 1940, and includes a new forward and information about the college during the years of 1939-1941.
