This is an old photo of the "William Crooks" steam locomotive. It was the first in Minnesota. It was brought up the Mississippi River from La Crosse to St. Paul on a barge in 1861. It is now the Great Northern No. 1. In 1908, it made a special trip and is still serviceable (typed caption). This photo was either taken or collected by Jas Fallow (pencil). 4-4-0
