Student Rosters-Gorton School, teacher Miss Mcgee, and school year 1907-1908

This book is one of a series of hundreds dating form the early twentieth century, listing the students in local grade schools, their ages or levels, residential locations and names of parents and guardians . Information is sparse about the early twentieth century residents of Lake Forest--estate people who rented gut did not own homes and also support staff who may have come and gone between censuses or who lived in homes owned by their estate employers. These school rosters help establish early residents and their approximate living locations. This particular book is for the Yorton School and the teacher's name is Miss Mcgee; the ages are from eight to ten. There are twenty boys and sixteen girls.
