Student Rosters- Gorton school, Room 2, teacher Miss Deborah Cooper and school year 1910-1911

This book is one of a series of hundreds dating form the early twentieth century, listing the students in local grade schools, their ages or levels. Information is sparse about the early twentieth century residents of Lake Forest--estate people who rented gut did not own homes and also support staff who may have come and gone between censuses or who lived in homes owned by their estate employers. These school rosters help establish early residents and their approximate living locations. This particular book is for the Gorton School and the teacher's name is Miss Deborah Cooper .There are nine boys and seventeen girls. The ages are from twelve to sixteen. In this case, there are names of parents and no addresses associated with these student names.
