Description

One of a series of Chicago River and bridge views taken by Bennett in preparation for the plan of redevelopment of the river banks north and west of Chicago's central business district as Wacker Drive.

This view shows the west bank of the Chicago River, south of Kinzie Street and its truss bridge. A tall warehouse stands with a freight car yard in the foreground. One of the cars is labeled with the logo of the "Santa Fe," also "A.T. & S.F.," railroad.
