This is one of a series of study photos taken by Edward H. Bennett in preparation for design of Wacker Drive and redevelopment of the banks of the river west and north of the central business district.
This exact location remains to be identified. Possibly this is the Wolf's Point area which is on the west side of the Chicago River looking south at the Butler Brothers Building and and the Lake Street Bridge.
