Title

Co-operative Apartment Building for Hammond Street, Chicago, Ill., a rendering; Frazier, Blouke & Hubbard, Architects

Description

This rendering of an apartment "building"--an elemental parti or plan showing two buildings linked by a gateway--is a variation on a Georgian vocabulary, incorporating also French elements (Mansard roofs and segmental arched window tops).  It appears in The Year Book of the Chicago Architectural Exhibition League and Catalogue of the Thirty-ninth Annual Exhibition, 1926 (Chicago: Chicago Architectural Exhibition League, 1926), unpaginated.

For more on the architectural firm, see Kim Coventry and Arthur H. Miller, Walter Frazier... (Lake Forest: Lake Forets-Lake Bluff Historical Scoiety, 2009).
