This listing is a guide to the structure and contents of the collection of research materials gathered by author Nancy Nichols in researching and writing her 2008 book, Lake Effect. Where electronic files are available for material in the collection, either created here or from the web, links are supplied.
The archive or collection consists of four series of materials: (I.) Nichols’ notes and interviews, (II.) Photographs she took for reference, (III.) Research material (books, maps, copies of documents and articles, etc., and (IV.) a reference file of hard copy material accumulated by the Lake Forest research team in the process of preparing this website. Nichols’ notes and research materials contain her frequent highlighting, tabs, and post-it notes.
