Runes

Title

Runes

Subject

Wicca

Description

Runes are one of the many forms of divination. Rune casting has been recorded as far back as ancient Rome. The process involves either tossing or randomly choosing stones, each with a unique rune painted on it. Each rune has a different meaning, piece of guidance, or suggestion. Similar to other forms of divination, the "meanings" are more of an outline, the interpretation of the reader is what is most important. Runes were also found in Norway during the medieval and viking age. They are believed to have been created around the Roman Empire, but they have slightly changed from culture to culture.
